Tibet is in the southwest of China. It is the home to many natural wonders, such as valleys, mountains, lakes and even deserts. Tibet is very large, so it is perfect for traveling, especially the bike tour(旅游).
You can start the wonderful bike tour in Tibet’s capital, Lhasa. It is 3600 metres above the sea level. It’s very high, isn’t it? So it is important to spend a few days there to get used to（習慣） the thin air there, or you may feel sick and get hurt. My interest in Chinese food started many years ago, when I had my first job. I was a young reporter for the Daily Journal in San Francisco. Our office wasn’t far from Chinatown. I usually managed to arrange my time so that I could go there at least two or three times a week for a good meal.

The food prepared in the manner kept its fresh flavor(風味)--- and its this flavor that attracts people to the art of Chinese cooking.
I often wonder if the Chinese appreciated their solution to that ancient energy problem as much as I do now --- whenever I eat Chinese food.
