Think rock. paper, scissors is a children’s game? Think again.
Top players from around the world came together in Toronto to compete for a ten-thousand-Canadian dollar prize and the title (頭銜) of world champion.
More than 500 players, including national from Australia, Norway and New Zealand, attended.
The simple game is often used to make decisions and solve some simple problems.
Players hold their fists (拳頭~) closed and count to three before making one of three hand signals: a fist 0ock),flat hand (paper) or two fingers (scissors). Paper covers rock, scissors cut paper and rock breaks scissors.
Players have different ideas about the history of the game, but it is believed to have been played for centuries in Japan
The Paper Scissors Stone Club was found in England in 1842 and provided an environment where players could play together.
In 1918, the name was changed to World RPS Club and its headquarters (總部)moved from London to Toronto. In 1925 its members were over 10,000.

China Pavilion is in the center of the expo garden. It is very beautiful. It represents the development of China from ancient time to now. It’s a pride of our China!
Thousands of people from all over the world are coming to the expo every day. And many volunteers are working for them. All the tourists are very pleased and they say that the Shanghai World Expo is the greatest one in the world so far.
However, Zhao said, “The expo garden is now so crowded. If you want to visit it, you’d better go there during the summer vacation.”

There is not enough oil in the world now. As time goes by ,it becomes less and less ,so what are we going to do when it runs out? Perhaps we will go back to use horses ,carriages and bicycles .
In the Second World War ,some people didn＇t use gas made from petroleum （石油）in their cars .They made gas from wood and plants instead . Besides different types of gas, we can also use electricity(電)to run our cars but first we must make the electricity ！Some countries have coal and they make electricity with that, but we might not always have coal, either. Other countries have big ,strong rivers and they can use the power of water to turn turbines(渦輪機) and make electricity more easily and cheaply.
We are also able to get power from the ocean tides. We put turbines into the mouth of the river .Then the tide comes in ,the water turns the turbines and then it goes out ,it turns them again.
