Duane Innes, an engineer, caused a car accident to save the life of driver Bill Pace. 1 But in Bill Pace’s case, Innes’ decision to put his own car in Pace’s path saved Pace’s life.
While Innes was driving his truck, he noticed Pace’s truck changing direction suddenly. 2 When he looked back at the driver, he saw that Pace lost consciousness(知覺) behind the wheel.
