題目列表(包括答案和解析)

There are a lot of school rules around the world. For example, in Australia, Canada, Japan and the United States, students have to wear uniforms, and they are not allowed to wear earrings.

Some schools in Japan and other countries have rules about hair. For example, students are not allowed to change the color of their hair. In the United States, boys can not have their hair grow long.

For safety at some US schools, students must have a pair of indoor shoes at school every day. This makes sure students won’t fall over on the wet floors and keeps the schools clean.

Gum chewing is not allowed in many US school buildings, as it is difficult to clean up. And if students chew gum in class, they may not pay much attention to their studies.

In most foreign countries, school students are allowed to work part-time. But differently, Japanese school students are not allowed to work part-time or change the color of their hair.

Students these days often have a lot of worries. Sometimes they have problems with their schoolwork, and sometimes with their friends.      Some people think the worst thing is to do nothing. Laura Mills, a teenager from Washington, agrees. “Problems and worries are normal in life,” says Laura. “But I think talking to someone helps a lot. If we don’t talk to someone, we’ll certainly feel worse.”

Laura once lost her purse, and worried for days. She was afraid to tell her parents about it. She even walked three miles to school each day because she didn’t have any money. She just kept thinking. “If I tell my parents, they’ll be angry!” But in the end, she talked to her parents and they were really understanding. Her dad said he sometimes made careless mistakes himself. They got her a new purse and asked her to be more careful. “I will always remember to share my problems in the future!” Laura says.

Robert Hunt advises students about common problems. He feels the same way as Laura. “It is best not to avoid our problems. We should always try to solve (解決) them.” He thinks that you can first find someone to talk to. This person doesn’t need to be an expert (專家) like himself. Students often forget that their parents have more experience than them, and are always there to help them.

In English, we say that sharing a problem is like cutting it in half. So you’re halfway to solving a problem if you talk to someone about it!

There are many wetlands(濕地) in China and some of them have become the world‘s important wetlands. The Chinese Yellow Sea Wetlands are among them. They are in Yancheng, Jiangsu Province. They are home for many different kinds of birds and animals. The world’s largest Milu Deer Nature Reserve(自然保護(hù)區(qū)) is in them. More than 700 milu deer live freely there. Teaching English as a foreign language is very popular for many travellers. In March I started teaching English in Thailand.

I really love teaching. I knew it could be a lot of fun, especially with my students who are 3-5 years old. But I had no idea just how much I would actually enjoy it. The only reason I started was simple - it was an easy way to make money.

I had no idea Thai children could speak English so well at such a young age. My children could describe colours, shapes, body parts, days of the week and classroom objects!

Two things changed after working. The first one was in the first weeks of teaching, I liked to have my lessons planned out, but things didn't go as expected. Now I am happy to walk into a classroom with whatever I need for the subject.

I guess the other thing would be how much the children trust me. 18 weeks ago these children were unconfident and pretty shy, but now they can't wait to get involved.

In 6 months I have no idea where I will be, but right now I love teaching and enjoy working with the kids every day. Will I teach again - I'd like to think so!
